LEADERSHIP

About our leadership

Started by volunteers in 2004, volunteer teams have grown from 36 per year to over 200 participants serving for one week each in 2019.

Eventually, Partners for Medical Relief grew to become a 501(c)3 nonprofit, governed by an enthusiastic Board of Directors.

Current Leadership

Dr. Devinder Mangat

Chairperson, Board of Directors
Dr. Mangat is a recognized national leader in facial plastic surgery with current practices in Ohio, Kentucky, and Colorado. He has been serving in Belize since 2007 and was a founding board member of Partners for Medical Relief.

Dr. Jay Logeman

President, Board of Directors
Dr. Logeman is a general surgeon and the original organizer of first trip to Belize in 2004. Jay is a founding board member of Partners for Medical Relief.

Lynda Mackey

Treasurer, Board of Directors
Lynda's first service trip to Belize was in 2004; she has returned each year since that time. She is a founding board member for Partners for Medical Relief.

John Kirby

Executive Director
John is a Pastor at Horizon Community Church and has been the lead organizer of each trip to Belize since 2005. He is a founding board member for Partners for Medical Relief. member of Partners for Medical Relief.

Tim Selnick

Director
Tim, a property management executive, has been the lead facilitator for the annual October surgical trip since 2014.

Pam Shannon

Director
Pam is a recently retired executive for TriHealth who began her career as a nurse. She is a founding board member for Partners for Medical Relief.

Dr. Vicki McIver

Director
Dr. McIver has served as the organizing pharmacist for service trips for over ten years, ordering medicines used in village clinics for tens of thousands and medicine for surgeries for thousands of patients.

Tim, a financial advisor, has been on over ten service trips to Belize.

Leanna Paz

Director
Leanna leads the marketing and communication efforts for Partners for Medical Relief and has been on ten service trips to Belize.

Dr. Michael Hawryschuk

Associate Professor
Dr. Michael Hawryschuk is Associate Professor of Clinical Anesthesia residency at the University of Cincinnati. He has come himself for eight years to serve in Belize and has been a catalyst for the involvement and support of UC for both participation of anesthesia residents and the educational access now afforded anesthesia providers in Belize via UC.
